Get ready to burn again as the year’s hottest horror, Evil Dead Burn, gets its home premiere release date revealed. Come get some! It’s Groovy!
Come get some, it’s groovy! Studiocanal has announced the Home Premiere of the legendary horror franchise’s most savage and terrifying ride to date, EVIL DEAD BURN, on 24 August. Additionally, it will come out on 4K Ultra HD in both a SteelBook and an Ultimate Collector’s Edition. These two global exclusives are perfect for deadites eager to get their hands on them. Blu-ray and DVD release will follow on 12 October.
The SteelBook features artwork by Adam Middleton in collaboration with director Vaniček. Meanwhile, the Ultimate Collector’s Edition, with exclusive artwork by Sophie Bland, is presented in a rigid box with a magnetic opening. It is bursting with gruesome goodies including storyboards, Book of the Dead pages, alternate poster art cards, a production notes book, and two posters. As a result, this is a set that no true Evil Dead fan should be without.
ABOUT THE FILM
“EVIL DEAD BURN,” directed by Sébastien Vaniček, known for “Infested,” boasts an impressive cast. Souheila Yacoub from “Dune: Part Two,” Tandi Wright from “Pearl,” Hunter Doohan from “Wednesday,” Luciane Buchanan from “The Night Agent,” Errol Shand from “The Clearing,” George Pullar from “Deadloch,” Maude Davey from “The Dry,” and Greta Van Den Brink from “Territory” all contribute to the film’s dynamic energy.
Florent Bernard and Sébastien Vaniček penned the script, while Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi produced the project. Romel Adam, Bruce Campbell, Lee Cronin, and Jose Canas serve as executive producers. In addition, Vaniček collaborates with director of photography Philip Lozano from “Cobweb,”. Moreover, he works alongside production designer Nick Connor, who worked on “Ash vs Evil Dead,”. Editor Maxime Caro from “Marion,” is part of the team. Costume designer Sarah Voon, known for “Evil Dead Rise.” also joins the production.
Packed with outrageously gruesome effects and some truly jaw-dropping shocks that will have you screaming loud enough to wake the dead, EVIL DEAD BURN stands proudly alongside the original 1981 classic and is a superbly entertaining addition to the Evil Dead franchise.
THE PREMISE
After the loss of her husband, a woman seeks solace with her in-laws in their secluded family home. As one by one they are transformed into deadites, turning the gathering into a family reunion from hell. Ultimately, she comes to discover that the vows she took in life… live on even in death.
