A SMASH HIT
Disney and Pixar’s smash hit “Toy Story 5,” which our very own Phil Roberts called “another well-executed triumph for Pixar,” has grossed over $1 billion worldwide since its June debut in cinemas, a success that’s matched by overwhelming audience and critical acclaim.
The all-new adventure reunites iconic characters. It introduces families to a new generation of toys. It also brings the next chapter of Toy Story home. Toy Story is the most-watched film franchise on Disney+ with over 2 billion hours streamed globally. Now, Toy Story 5 joins the “Toy Story” Collection. Here, fans can stream the Academy Award-winning franchise.
Families can also pre-order the Toy Story 5 Original Soundtrack on vinyl and CD. The soundtrack features Swift’s hit single “I Knew It, I Knew You,” along with an original score by 7-time GRAMMY Award and 2-time Academy Award-winning composer Randy Newman. He returns to score his fifth “Toy Story” feature. The vinyl and CD will be available on Friday, September 25, 2026.

REVIEW
We were fortunate enough to see Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5 well ahead of its theatrical release, and it proved to be a fun-filled return to the toy box. In our ★★★☆☆ review, our reviewer Phil Roberts wrote: “Overall, Toy Story 5 is another well-executed triumph for Pixar. Although characters like Woody, Buzz, and the rest of Andy’s toys find themselves sidelined in this outing, the emotionally poignant, resonant storyline, breathtaking visuals, and emotionally charged soundtrack more than make up for any disappointment.
While long-term fans of the franchise may leave disappointed by the criminal lack of screen time dedicated to their old friends, new fans will find themselves swept away by the powerful storyline and colorful characters it introduces. The film is the perfect vehicle to bring in new fans and sell another wave of merchandise that will propagate our pop culture landscape for years to come, and that is welcome to see.” Read our full review here.

Toy Story 5 features direction by Academy Award winner Andrew Stanton and co-direction by Kenna Harris. Lindsey Collins, p.g.a., and Jessica Choi, p.g.a., take on the production, while Stanton and Harris craft the screenplay based on a story by Stanton. The film carries a PG rating.
