New Evangelion Collaboration: Yoshitoku × F:NEX Asuka and Rei Japanese Traditional Doll Figures

Evangelion has announced a collaboration with F: NEX. Yoshitoku × F: NEX Asuka and Rei Japanese Traditional Doll Figures are coming!

Japanese figure and toy manufacturer Furyu has unveiled its latest F: NEX release based on Rebuild of Evangelion: the Shikinami Asuka Langley and Rei Ayanami Japanese Doll 1/4 Scale Figures. Moreover, the new figures bring Asuka Langley Shikinami and Rei Ayanami to life in a traditional Japanese doll-inspired design. This design blends the characters with the craftsmanship and aesthetic of F: NEX’s high-quality collectible line.

The figures are scheduled for release in July 2027. They will be available exclusively through a made-to-order sales model.

ASUKA LANGLEY SHIKINAMI

Standing approximately 44 cm tall. The Shikinami Asuka Langley Japanese Doll 1/4 Scale Figure combines Asuka’s iconic character design with the refined aesthetics of traditional Japanese dolls.

The figure’s pose draws inspiration from traditional Japanese fan dances. Meticulous attention is given to every detail of Asuka’s flowing hair, gentle smile, and graceful yet dynamic movements. Additionally, from the positioning of her feet to the delicate gestures of her fingertips, the sculpt captures the elegance and energy of a dancer in motion.

Its lively presentation also contrasts sharply with the serene, composed look of the Rei Ayanami Japanese Doll 1/4 Scale Figure. As a result, collectors have two distinct interpretations of Evangelion’s beloved heroines.

REY AYANAMI

Standing approximately 44.5 cm tall. The Rei Ayanami -Japanese Doll- 1/4 Scale Figure blends Rei’s understated elegance with the refined beauty of traditional Japanese doll craftsmanship.

The sculpting of all ten fingers stands out. Deliberately positioned to capture the graceful movements of traditional Japanese dance as Rei holds the umbrella. This approach creates a refined interpretation of the Evangelion heroine. Emphasizing her quiet presence alongside the intricate artistry of Japanese doll-making.
