Year after year, fans from across the globe descend upon NYCC to immerse themselves in the awesomeness of some of the best fandoms the entertainment industry has to offer. Whether it’s the latest blockbusters, books, television reveals or even toys and games, there is something for every fan at New York Comic-Con.
And, one of the most anticipated panels for Star Wars fans and collectors alike is the Hasbro Star Wars panel. The toy giants are event regulars and bring with them a wealth of new merchandise which is revealed to the excited auditorium eager to immerse themselves in the newest line of action figures from a galaxy far, far away…
2018 has been no exception. Hasbro’s deskside event has revealed some of the finest action figures to date with a range that covers almost every aspect of the Star Wars universe. From the latest action figures from the upcoming Star Wars: Resistance animated series, to the uber-popular The Vintage Collection and lastly the impressive six-inch The Black Series line. The latter has seen the benefit of a new facial recognition software which has revolutionised the toy industry. Hasbro’s action figures are more realistic than ever, so much so that the technology will soon be employed by The Vintage Collection for future waves, therefore guaranteeing the fans the most realistic action figures ever attempted.

Final Thoughts
Hasbro has outdone themselves with these incredible action figures. Fans of The Vintage Collection will find plenty to enjoy in future waves especially with the inclusion of facially accurate incarnations of Princess Leia in Boushh Disguise and Han Solo in Stormtrooper Disguise. However, the real treasure comes in the form of The Black Series. The Clone Wars incarnation of Obi-Wan Kenobi is impeccable and is easily the most realistic action figure ever attempted. And, Star Wars fan favourite General Grievous looks simply breath-taking and will be the first action figure to top every collectors’ wanted list.
Hasbro has outdone themselves this time and the fans will soon reap the rewards. The future waves of both The Black Series and The Vintage Collection are in safe hands and with the promise to address the failings of the past and ensure stock actually reaches fans across the globe we all have something very special to look forward to.
