Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles | Paramount Green Lights Another TMNT Reboot

The Heroes in a Half Shell are returning to the big screen in another reboot. Michael Bay to produce!

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back!

Paramount Pictures has officially commenced development on another “reboot” of the heroes in a half shell with Andrew Dodge, writer of Bad Words set to write their latest attempt to break the box office. Despite his controversial efforts on both the Transformers and TMNT franchises, Michael Bay returns as producer alongside Andrew Form, and Brad Fuller through their Platinum Dunes production company.

Word of the new TMNT reboot comes from A Quiet Place producers Andrew Form and Bradley Fuller, who during a red carpet interview for the Critics Choice Awards told Variety :

“We’re doing a reboot of the ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles’ at Paramount.”

No further details about the project have been released but fans of the pizza-munching ninjas will be praying for a return to the vintage incarnations from the immensely popular 1990 Movie and avoid the horrendous incarnations found in Michael Bay’s failed reboots Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014) and TMNT: Out of the Shadows.
