Thomas takes his first steps into a larger world with the incredible Sixth Scale Luke Skywalker Figure from Hot Toys
With the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Sideshow, and Hot Toys have introduced a Deluxe Version of the new sixth scale Star Wars collectable figure of the legendary Jedi Master – Luke Skywalker. The highly-accurate collectable figure is skillfully crafted based on Luke Skywalker’s appearance in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. It features a newly developed head sculpt with stunning likeness, meticulously tailored outfit with a poncho, a lightsaber, a variety of accessories, and a specially designed character-themed figure stand! Moreover, this Deluxe Version includes a finely detailed backpack, a lightning rod, and a Porg!
Following my review of the incredible Hot Toys General Leia Organa and Han Solo collectable figures I’m back with my concluding Hot Toys review (for now, more will come in the coming months) focussing on the incredible Deluxe Edition of Luke Skywalker in his Ahch-To outfit from Star Wars: The Last Jedi!
Luke’s box is the same as Leia’s, it’s really fancy and features promotional images of the figure.
This figure has tons of accessories – the weather coat, the iconic Skywalker lightsaber, a bag, the satchel, the compass, the red Kyber crystal, a Porg (he’s super cute and well done, he also comes with a little stand), a staff, the staff Luke used to fight Rey, 4 interchangeable hands (so that’s 6 in total with the ones that are already on the figure), a stand with an interchangeable picture (Ahch-To ground or Luke promotional art with the Millenium Falcon) and the two hand-joints replacements. With all these accessories, you can basically recreate every Luke scene from The Last Jedi that took place with this outfit, it’s impressive! It features over 30 points of articulation.
They also totally nailed it with the face sculpt, it’s 100% Mark Hamill, every intricate detail is there with the different shades of color for the contours of his face up to the moles and age spots on his face. It’s really breathtaking to see the meticulousness put into producing these figures!
The clothes use fabric to visually mimic Luke’s outfit from the movie even though the brown vest lacks a little “je ne sais quoi” in terms of texture, I think they should have used something that looked more like old leather. It’s basically my only complaint about this figure. I really appreciate they included his lightsaber too even though he didn’t use it with this outfit but considering it’s Luke, they had to put it in the accessories!
If you’re a fan of Luke Skywalker, this figure is definitely worth the price tag and being a deluxe version, you get more accessories for a few additional euros!
