Could Spider-Man’s next solo outing truly top the Endgame?
Spider-Man: Far from Home just released its newest trailer chock full of spoilers that are already setting thrilling prospects for the future of the MCU.
Like the idea that Mysterio is from another dimension. Um…what?! With The Avengers using the now-infamous “Time Heist” to bring everybody back to life, there were bound to be some cosmic consequences and it seems that those consequences are starting to come to life. Mysterio is apparently from another version of Earth. One that may not even have The Avengers, Iron Man, Captain America, or even Thanos. And it’s kind of really cool because he almost seems like Iron Man and Doctor Strange jammed into one character. Um, awesome!

There are so many possibilities this concept of the Multiverse could take, making Spider-Man: Far from Home one of the most exciting movies of the year. With this film featuring new characters from other dimensions and elemental villains (which we haven’t seen before) will we potentially get a cameo from a character set to star in The Eternals? Or something even greater perhaps? Like a surprise cameo from a potential X-Men character…or a Miles Morales mike drop appearance? *squeal*
Not only is the Multiverse sending me on a spin but this movie is also totally giving me Captain America: The Winter Soldier vibes simply because the last time a Marvel film highlighted Nick Fury in a large role (besides Captain Marvel) was in The Winter Soldier…and that movie was pretty darn good. In fact, it’s also claimed by many as one of the superhero films of all time. If the writers can add that riveting espionage vibe from The Winter Soldier while retaining the fun Spider-Man: Homecoming innocence and enjoyment this could very well end up being the best Marvel movie of the year.
Of course, Avengers Endgame is going to be pretty hard to beat but if any superhero movie could upstage one of the greatest superhero films of all time it would be a fantastic Spider-Man flick.
