Witness the end of IT. Pennywise the Clown is backā¦and he’s out for blood!
After what has felt like an eternity, the all-new trailer for IT: Chapter Two has finally surfaced and brings with it a new level of creepy which was sadly missing from the first outing. After its release in 2017, IT went on to become a box office juggernaut and one of the most lucrative horror movies ever made.
In light of this success, fans have been desperate to get their first look at the sequel which pits the adult Loser’s Club against the vengeful Pennywise the Clown (Bill Skarsgard) and today, Warner Bros. has unleashed the debut trailer which you can watch below:
I cannot stress enough how refreshing it is to see Pennywise’s sinister and twisted personality restored to prominence. As good as the original was, I found it fundamentally flawed. Every time the tension built and Pennywise emerged from the shadows to stalk his victims, something as simple as a closed door seemed to thwart his evil plans which completely derailed the movie. Hopefully, the sequel corrects these failings and delivers the spine-chilling finale we are all hoping for.
Assuming the adult forms of the teenagers from the original are Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh; James McAvoy as Bill Denbrough; Bill Hader as Richie Tozier; Jay Ryan as Ben Hascom; Isaiah Mustafa as Mike Hanlon, James Ransone as Eddie Kaspbrak and Andy Bean as Stan Uris.
