Black Series Review | Vice Admiral Holdo (Star Wars: The Last Jedi)

Thomas joins the resistance for a rendezvous with Vice Admiral Holdo from Hasbro’s new 2019 Black Series line

Hasbro has finally made a Black Series figure of Vice Admiral Amylin Holdo and I’m here for it! It was definitely my favorite of the new characters from The Last Jedi so I’m just really happy she has a figure! Now we need a Leia figure from TLJ and it will be perfect! Holdo is part of the first wave of 2019 that includes a Battle Droid, Padmé Amidala, Dryden Vos, Mace Windu and Han Solo (Mimban).

Holdo comes with her blaster which is nicely detailed. The outfit is screen-accurate with most of it using fabric except for the cape that is in plastic and that was a smart choice because plastic allows movement for the figure, 18 points of articulation. They sculpted the jewels (rings and bracelets) with great attention, I love the detail!

As for the head, the head sculpt is truly beautiful with an excellent digital face print job, it’s spot on Laura Dern, simply the best head sculpt this year! The hair is a separate piece of plastic from the face and it’s wonderfully sculpted.

Final Thoughts:

Holdo was the figure I was looking forward to the most in 2019 and it’s the one I’m most pleased with. This figure is almost perfect!
