Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous | All-New Animated Series Coming to Netflix in 2020

Netflix has announced a new Jurassic World animated TV series, produced by Dreamworks Animation.

“Welcome to Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous”

Life finds a way. Netflix has announced a new Jurassic World animated TV series, produced by Dreamworks Animation. Titled Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, the series will be executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Frank Marshall, Colin Trevorrow, Scott Kreamer and Lane Lueras.

Set during the era of 2015’s Jurassic World, the new series will follow a group of teenagers who have been stranded on Isla Nublar after the dinosaurs have escaped and rampaged across the island. Stranded amongst the chaos, the children will need to evolve from strangers into a family if they’re going to survive.

Acting as showrunners on Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous will be Scott Kreamer and Lane Lueras, who previously worked on Pinky Malinky and Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny respectfully.

The show is due to debut sometime in 2020.

This is welcome news. With the Jurassic World theatrical series due to come to a close within the next two years, we can rest assured that the legacy of Jurassic Park will live on vicariously through Netflix.
