‘The Rise of Skywalker’ Will Undoubtedly Feature the Greatest ‘Star Wars’ Space Battle of All Time

Will the Millennium Falcon lead the Rebellion into the biggest space battle in Star Wars history?

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is going to be amazing, let’s just get that speculation out of the way. No, it might not be amazing in a way that The Empire Strikes Back was amazing by delivering jaw-dropping twists that we’ll never see coming. In fact, it may be very derivative of the Star Wars movies that have come before it (like The Force Awakens was simply a fancy rehash of A New Hope.) But one thing’s for certain, it’s going to be visually impressive thanks to the fascinating clips we have seen throughout the trailers for the film.

And the space battles? Geez! It’s going to be INCREDIBLE!!!

In the D23 Special Look, we got to see a shot that included more Imperial Star Destroyers than all of the Star Destroyers in the Original Trilogy combined! And, in the recent trailer, a shot of the Resistance’s fleet was released, showcasing a jaw-dropping myriad of ships, all led by the Millennium Falcon.

It’s going to be eye-popping, to say the least. And in IMAX, it’s going to be SOOO LOUD that I’m pretty sure it’s going to be one of the most impressive things I’ve seen related to Star Wars on the big screen.

And don’t forget the cameos we could get throughout this sequence. This is the last film of the Skywalker saga and it seems like J.J Abrams is going all out. Imagine a Resistance fleet led by Lando Calrissian, Poe Dameron, Leia, Finn, Wedge Antilles, Snap Wexley (and maybe even Norra Wexley), Jess Pava, Hera Syndulla, Nien Numb, (potentially Kazuda Xiono), and who knows who else could show up!

Yeah, I’m very certain that The Rise of Skywalker will feature what should be the greatest Star Wars space battle of all time.

We had Avengers: Endgame earlier this year–it was amazing–and while Endgame will probably retain its position as the highest-grossing film of all time I have a feeling that J.J Abrams just might take the award for greatest movie finale of the year.

I’ve got a good feeling about this.
