Thomas risks the wrath of Kylo Ren to review the new First Order Jet Trooper from The Rise of Skywalker
New movie means new troopers, which means new action figures!
To coincide with the release of Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker, Hasbro is releasing the First Order Jet Trooper (and will also release the Sith Trooper variant in 2020) in Black Series. This figure has only one accessory – a blaster pistol, details are rough but it’s nicely painted.
This figure is a mix of a new sculpt, re-use and re-tool. For example, you can see there is still a hole on the left leg for a blaster but it’s not the blaster that comes with the Jet Trooper, it is because they re-tooled the First Order Stormtrooper legs. The belt is also a re-use. However, the upper body is new with a brand new helmet. I like its design, it remains in the First Order style with a visor similar to the Flametrooper. Unlike other characters with jetpacks, this one has the jetpack moulded onto the armor so it’s not removable and thus it won’t fall, which is a really good plus!
The armor is screen accurate and paint apps are good!
This figure has 20 points of articulation so you can get some great action poses!
A new trooper is always welcomed!
