Hasbro's Ghostbusters Plasma Series Promo Images Revealed

We ain’t afraid of no ghosts. Get up close and personal with Hasbro’s all-new 6″ Ghostbusters action figures

The moment Ghostbusters fans have been waiting for has finally arrived. This past weekend at the New York Toy Fair, Hasbro revealed our first look at the all-new Ghostbusters toys heading our way to commemorate the upcoming release of the long-awaited sequel; Ghostbusters: Afterlife.

The first reveal, although packed full of adorable action figures and toys weren’t all that impressive from an adult collector’s standpoint, but thankfully, Hasbro had an ace up the sleeve. The toy giant took full advantage of the event’s second day by revealing a breathtaking new adult collectors range called “The Plasma Series”. The impressive six-inch line has been designed in keeping with that of its Marvel Legends series and will incorporate a Build-A-Figure feature.

The first wave has been confirmed to focus on the original Ghostbusters movie with characters like Peter Venkman, Ray Stantz, Egon Spengler, Winston Zeddemore, Dana Barrett, and Gozer all featured. The Build-A-Figure character for this wave has been confirmed as the iconic Terror Dog.

Hasbro has now revealed some glossy new promotional images for these figures which you can enjoy below:

The figures will be presented on their original card backs and will feature all the original ghostbusters, ghosts, and proton packs.

Say what you will about Hasbro, but they know how to get fans on side with releases like this. The Ghostbusters “Plasma Series” looks exceptional and with the prospect of the wave dipping into Ghostbusters II before we turn our attention to the Ghostbusters Afterlife wave, we could be in for one hell of a summer! One way or another, I’ll be adding the Plasma Series to my collection post-haste, so expect a Future of the Force unboxing video to hit YouTube in the coming months.

One final noteworthy addition to the Ghostbusters collectible fraternity is set to arrive in September. A collectible which is sure to invigorate the budding Ghostbuster within all of us. Hasbro has confirmed production on Egon Spengler’s Neutrona Wand. The replica will feature Lights, Sounds, and Vibrations designed to allow fans and collectors to imagine they’re wrangling all sorts of spooky spirits and gruesome ghouls.
