Could Ahsoka Tano be making her live-action debut in The Mandalorian Season 2?
Under normal circumstances, we at Future of the Force refrain from reporting on rumors and hearsay … but when the rumors concern Star Wars icon Ahsoka Tano – we figured you’d want to know about it!
Well, here goes nothing…
Reports are emerging from Slash Film that suggests Rosario Dawson has been cast as Anakin Skywalker‘s snippy apprentice in the hotly anticipated second season of The Mandalorian which is slated to arrive on Disney Plus this coming October. There has been no word of how many episodes she is expected to appear in, nor has this rumor been confirmed by ANY official source inside Lucasfilm so take this report with a very big pinch of salt.
However, if proven to be reliable, this casting symbolizes Ahsoka’s very-first appearance in live-action form. Ahsoka Tano debuted in the feature film version of The Clone Wars and has since gone on to receive cult status amongst the fanbase. Only Ashley Eckstein has performed as Ahsoka across all media formats, and if proved factual, the casting of Rosario Dawson will unquestionably ruffle a few feathers.
Dawson is a self-confessed mega-fan of the character and has expressed her interest in portraying her in live-action format before, but until now, her dreams have never come to fruition. Is all that about to change?
Check back for the latest updates as they emerge.
