Marvel Legends Review Yelena Belova (Black Widow)

Marvel Legends Review | Yelena Belova (Black Widow)

Thomas delves into the Marvel Cinematic Universe to review Hasbro’s cool-new Yelena Belova action figure

Although the Black Widow movie has been delayed without a new release date set, merchandise for this movie has already been released and that includes the first wave of Marvel Legends figures! Next up in the wave for review is Yelena Belova.

This wave Build-A-Figure is Crimson Dynamo (comics). This wave is also the start of a new update for Marvel Legends figures – the removal of the ugly neck joint. Hasbro corrected the issue with the Black Series range in 2018 and now two years later, they’re finally doing it for superhero movies too! It’s a big improvement! However, there is a little problem with Yelena, they should have worked things out better for the back of the head because you actually see the articulation and it really feels weird!

This figure comes with 2 guns and 4 interchangeable hands.

Yelena’s outfit is very similar to Black Widow‘s white outfit except that she has a green jacket (the same jacket Black Widow has in Avengers Infinity War) and the holsters are different. One holster can hold a gun and the other is for knives except the knives are not removable which is disappointing! They could have included knives instead of a second gun. The outfit is nicely sculpted and if you look closely on the belt you can see the Black Widow emblem sculpted on it as well!

The headsculpt is really good but I think the face is a bit too skinny so it doesn’t look as much like Florence Pugh as it could be. Because they re-used the body sculpt from Black Widow, they just didn’t adjust the proportions for the character.

This figure has 20 points of articulation for action poses.

Final Thoughts

It’s a good figure but some improvements could have made it a GREAT figure instead!
