Annlyel shares her to picks of what to check out in the Disney+ Pixar category during the coronavirus lockdown
Disney+ has a lot for people of all ages. During this extended time in our homes, it’s vital to find entertainment suitable for the whole family while not taking a huge chunk out of your budget. Disney+ is designed just for that.
My last post featuring the top 5 things to watch in the Disney category features some of the category’s greatest hits such as African Cats, Frozen, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and Pinocchio. Today, let’s take a look at the greatest movies and shorts to check out in the Pixar category.
Up
This movie will easily catch you by surprise. Unassuming at first, Up is one of the best and most emotional films in Disney’s vault of entertainment, becoming the first animated film to be nominated for both Best Animated Film and Best Picture. And it deserves such a high honor.
Float
I’ve become a fan of animated shorts and this one, this one is the one that touched me the most. Featuring a father and his son who has a strange but extraordinary gift, Float bluntly reminds us that it is always better to treat things we don’t understand with kindness. This short actually brought me to tears.
Coco
Talking about tears, Coco is an exceptional film. Having watched it four times now, I can easily confirm this as one of the greatest animated movies I’ve seen. When it first came out I heard the hype but I wasn’t that intrigued. When I finally decided to watch it I was utterly blown away. What an incredible story.
Toy Story
You can’t list the best things to watch in the Pixar category without including one of the greatest animated films of all time, Toy Story. This movie never disappoints and if you have young children their imaginations will run wild with this film’s concept. I love this movie.
The Incredibles
And last but not least, you have The Incredibles, a film that still stands the test of time as one of the best-written superhero movies of all time. Long before we had the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DC Extended Universe cranking out superhero films at a scintillating rate we had this gem. It’s action-packed, funny, it’s got great music, and it’s just plain fun.
Next up, the Marvel category.
