The Falcon and The Winter Soldier‘s Disney+ landing page confirms the hotly-anticipated series will officially land in 2021
Just hours after unveiling the awesome new trailer for Marvel Studios’ WandaVision which is officially set to premiere on Disney+ before Christmas – the streamer has confirmed that The Falcon And The Winter Soldier will not appear on the platform until sometime in the new year. The news arrives courtesy of the updated synopsis on the show’s official landing page which states that the show will arrive “Sometime in 2021“.
Here’s the official synopsis:
Following the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” Sam Wilson/Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes/Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan) team up in a global adventure that tests their abilities-and their patience-in Marvel Studios’ “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.” The all-new series is directed by Kari Skogland; Malcolm Spellman is the head writer. Coming 2021.
Directed by Kari Skogland, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier stars Anthony Mackie, Sebastian Stan, Emily VanCamp, Wyatt Russell, Noah Mills, Carl Lumbly, and Daniel Brühl. The series debuts on Disney+ in 2021.
Although having a confirmed release date is welcome news it cannot compensate for the show being forced into delay by the COVID-19 pandemic. The series was originally anticipated to debut back in August until the outbreak forced the world into a self-imposed lockdown – and news of this delay however unavoidable will only be viewed as another bitter blow to Marvel fans everywhere! Still, at least we can all look forward to watching WandaVision on those cold winter nights in!
