“Playing her in The Clone Wars and Rebels was a dream come true. This is insane”
The live-action debut of Bo-Katan Kryze and the Night Owls was a monumental moment for Star Wars fans. Katie Sackhoff slipped into the iconic Mandalorian armor to bring her animated alter ego into the realm of live-action, and in doing so helped usher in a new era of Star Wars storytelling.
Whereas animated characters were traditionally resigned to remaining in their original format, characters from literature, legends, and animated series’ are now making the transition into live-action – and nobody is more excited as Katee Sackhoff! During a recent interview with Ash Crossan of ET, the actor opened up about making the transition and she could not hide her excitement.
Here’s the official line:
ET’s Ash Crossan exclusively chatted with Katee Sackhoff after her live-action debut of fan-favorite character, Bo-Katan Kryze, in the latest episode of ‘The Mandalorian.’ Sackhoff recalls the surreal moment she found out the ‘Clone Wars’ and ‘Rebels’ fave was going to be part of Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni’s live-action ‘Star Wars’ series. Plus, Sackhoff reveals what questions she hopes are answered in regards to Moff Gideon and the Darksaber. New episodes of ‘The Mandalorian’ drop Fridays on Disney Plus.
Jon Favreau and his incredible team have done a tremendous job and have brought Star Wars together in a way I never thought possible. And with Ahsoka Tano already mentioned and expected to make her live-action debut in the coming weeks – this series is set to go down as one of the finest pieces of Star Wars content ever.
Now, if only we can secure a Bo-Katan mini-series!!
