After all the pleading and campaigning, the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League is looming on the horizon and today, Zack Snyder is allowing us a peek behind the curtain. Not only has the director re-released his DC FanDome trailer in an all-new black and white hue, but he has also revealed a new look at his Steppenwolf! Check it out:

Snyder’s vision of Steppenwolf bears a haunting similarity to Joss Whedon’s take on the character but the former has a far more alien aesthetic which adds to the gravitas of the iconic DC villain.

Little by little, Zack Snyder‘s vision of Justice League is beginning to take shape and I am there for it. I have never proclaimed to be the biggest Zack Snyder fan, but like so many DC fans, I believe an artist’s vision should be released as intended and I cannot wait to sink my teeth into Snyder’s vision.

For the most part, I have accepted Whedon’s version of the film for what it is and often sit down for an enjoyable rewatch, but the prospect of finally sitting down for a screening of Snyder’s version is too tantalizing to pass up.

Unite the League.
