By the Gods! A new statue of The Kraken from Clash Of The Titans is now available to pre-order from Sideshow Collectibles
Last week, we brought you a first look at an all-new statue of The Kraken from Ray Harryhausen’s Clash Of The Titans. The statue is produced by the team at Star Ace Toys, who have sent us into delirium today by sharing a fresh look at Ray’s iconic creature.
The breathtaking statue replicates the moment in Ray Harryhausen‘s creature feature when the beast rises from the depths to claim the life of Princess Andromeda.
The hand-painted vinyl statue stands over 13.5″ tall, and measures over 21″ in length. And if that isn’t enough to have you jumping onto the back of Pegasus with glee; Sideshow Collectibles have two versions available. There will be a Standard Version and a Deluxe Version. A diorama base, featuring the restrained Princess Andromeda is included with the Deluxe Version.

Thankfully we won’t have to plead with Zeus to let us have one of these statues. Sideshow Collectibles have already opened pre-orders. The Standard Version is going to cost $450, while the Deluxe Version will set us back $495. And we won’t have long to wait. Zeus will release The Kraken in the Fourth Quarter of the year.
With the Ray and Diana Harryhausen Foundation recently celebrating Ray’s centenary, I can think of no better way to commemorate it than with this wonderful statue of one of Ray’s most beloved creatures.
