With Godzilla vs Kong right around the corner – Mondo has opened pre-orders for a new Toho Godzilla statue
With Godzilla vs Kong ready to unleash some much-needed fury on the box office next week; the timing couldn’t be better to release a new statue. And waiting in the wings to satisfy the need is Mondo. Today, they have opened pre-orders for a sensational new statue of Toho’s mighty monster.
Introducing the Godzilla vs Biollante (1989) – Godzilla Premium Scale Statue. This colossal 8″ tall polystone, vinyl, and PVC statue stands on a themed diorama base and looks glorious. What’s more, Mondo is offering both Standard and Deluxe editions. The Standard Edition features swap out open and closed mouths. The Deluxe version on the other hand adds a removable atomic blast effect, and a swap-out battle damaged hand.
Godzilla 89 Premium Scale Statue
If you’re living on this planet, then you know Godzilla has held the Supreme King of the Heavyweight Monster Scene title for nearly 70 years. And at last, you can have your very own premium statue of the King, accurately detailed in every way to resemble the real-life radioactive reptilian wrecker, as seen in the 1989 film Godzilla vs. Biollante.
Sculpted by Mark Newman and Hector Arce, designed by Eric Siebenaler, and painted by Hector Arce, the GODZILLA ’89 Premium Scale Statue comes with a switch-out mouth (open or closed). Also available, as supplies last, is the LIMITED EDITION, which comes with the aforementioned switch-out mouth, as well as a switch-out Heat Ray and a battle-damaged arm, wounds inflicted by vicious vegetable Biollante!
And if that isn’t enough to have you unleashing your atomic fire breath with glee. Mondo has also shared an image of their next Kaiju project. Toho’s classic Mothra. Check out the suitably teasing image below.
This magnificent statue will release in August. To pre-order yours, hit the links above. But if you can’t wait that long for some monster mayhem, Godzilla vs Kong hits HBO Max and selected theatres from March 31st. Or on PVOD in the U.K from April 1st.
