Dust off the Fedora because Harrison Ford has arrived in the UK to film Indiana Jones 5!
The hunt for fortune and glory is ready to kick off again because filming on Indiana Jones 5 gets underway next week. The fifth and (rumored) final installment in the franchise will commence filming next week in various locations around the UK. And, the main man has already touched down and is already taking in the sights.
HARRISON ARRIVES
Harrison Ford checked out some fine whiskey at Bremont Watches in Oxfordshire before stopping for a chat about his love of flying. In addition, Ford has been seen near Pinewood Studios fuelling speculation that filming was ready to get underway.
SPIELBERG
Although Steven Spielberg is handing over the directorial reins to James Mangold (Logan); the legendary director will be on hand to oversee proceedings in his new role as producer. John Williams, who has composed the score of EVERY entry in the franchise will return to add his symphonic brilliance to proceedings; and ensure Harrison Ford’s legendary archeologist goes out on a high note!
Alongside Harrison Ford, the untitled fifth Indy adventure stars Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook, Shaunette Renée Wilson, and Thomas Kretschmann. Unsurprisingly, the plot of the movie is a closely guarded secret. Although rumors are emerging that hint to the opening sequence involving a scrapped plotline from Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade.
In the Chris Columbus penned sequence, Indy has his fishing vacation in the Scottish highlands interrupted by a castle-dwelling specter. Namely, a ghastly ghost named Baron Seamus Seagrove III. Hardly the vacation Indy had in mind!
SPOOKY SETS
The sequence calls for “An enormous, 16th century stone structure. Tall, foreboding towers, lined with menacing Gargoyles, pierce the night sky.” Ordinarily, we’d take these rumors with a pinch of salt. But these rumors may be gaining traction after castle sets were spotted under construction in Northumberland. But until we hear anything concrete from Lucasfilm, take these rumors with a pinch of salt.
Check back regularly for the latest updates as they emerge. We’ll be on hand with all the latest tales of fortune and glory. So, keep it Future of the Force.
Indiana Jones continues the search for fortune and glory on July 29, 2022.
