The fleabag and the Fedora! Phoebe Waller-Bridge joins Harrison Ford in the final Indiana Jones adventure

The fedora is in the dry cleaners and the cameras are getting ready to roll because James Mangold is almost ready to kick off production on Indiana Jones 5. And today, Lucasfilm has revealed some juicy casting news about Harrison Ford’s final outing as the adventurous archaeologist.

The studio has confirmed that Phoebe Waller-Bridge will be joining Harrison Ford in the upcoming sequel. The Fleabag star has become a highly influential star on the Hollywood landscape in recent years. And her arrival rekindles her relationship with the studio following her role as L3-37 in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

THE CAST

Her role in the film is still being kept under wraps. But Bridge’s confirmation is the first piece of casting we’ve heard after Harrison Ford.

“I’m thrilled to be starting a new adventure, collaborating with a dream team of all-time great filmmakers,” said the film’s director James Mangold. “Steven, Harrison, Kathy, Frank, and John are all artistic heroes of mine. When you add Phoebe, a dazzling actor, brilliant creative voice, and the chemistry she will undoubtedly bring to our set, I can’t help but feel as lucky as Indiana Jones himself.”

Aside from Waller-Bridge, the studio also confirmed the worst kept secret in Hollywood by announcing the appointment of legendary composer John Williams. Willams has been on hand to provide the score for every movie in the franchise so far. And with Indy 5 expected to be the final installment in the franchise; Williams should return to provide a suitably poignant soundtrack.
