Star Wars: Ahsoka: Natasha Liu Bordizzo Cast As Sabine Wren?

According to Deadline, Natasha Liu Bordizzo has been cast as Sabine Wren in the forthcoming Ahsoka series

Star Wars: Ahsoka has found its Sabine Wren. At least, according to Deadline. They are reporting that Natasha Liu Bordizzo has been cast as the live-action incarnation of the Mandalorian warrior who was introduced in Star Wars: Rebels. If their report is accurate (and they normally are); then Sabine Wren will become the next animated character to make the transition into live-action.

Star Wars: Ahsoka is being penned by Dave Filoni, who will also executive produce alongside Jon Favreau. Rosario Dawson will reprise her role of Ahsoka Tano, which she first portrayed in The Mandalorian season two. As for Natasha Liu Bordizzo, the Australian-born actor earned notable credits for appearances in The Greatest Showman and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon. But the move into the galaxy far, far away represents a major step forwards for her career.

PLOT

Details about the series are being kept hidden in the depths of the Jedi archives; privy to only a select few. But with Sabine’s casting, we now have some idea of what we can expect from the series.  Presumably, Sabine will be joining Ahsoka to continue the search for Ezra Bridger. His disappearance, alongside Grand Admiral Thrawn, was left unresolved in Star Wars: Rebels‘ gripping finale.  And judging by the intent in Ahsoka’s voice during her stint on The Mandalorian, she has her sights firmly set on finding them both. Whatever it takes. Exciting times ahead. And with Hayden Christensen expected to be making an appearance as Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, this series has become instantly unmissable.
