“Chapter 6 is one of the best pieces of Star Wars storytelling! It’s the stuff dreams are made of. “

Today is already the penultimate episode of The Book of Boba Fett. Time went so fast! This one is called ‘From the Desert Comes a Stranger.’

SPOILER WARNING

GROGU RETURNS
Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker in Lucasfilm’s THE BOOK OF BOBA FETT, exclusively on Disney+. © 2022 Lucasfilm Ltd. & ™. All Rights Reserved.

The episode is directed by Dave Filoni who also co-wrote it with Jon Favreau. You know that when Filoni is personally involved in the writing, it’s something special. Considering what Din Djarin said at the end of episode 5, I had some expectations for this one. And it shattered all my expectations. I’m at loss for words. This episode is so many things. It’s Star Wars at its best. For me, it’s without any doubt one of the best piece of Star Wars storytelling we have gotten since The Clone Wars.

The same way episode 5 showed us what Din Djarin had been up to after the season 2 finale of The Mandalorian, episode 6 focuses on Grogu training with Luke Skywalker. They kept the same technics used on the season finale to bring back Luke. To be honest, it looks amazing, it just feels like a young Mark Hamill was in front of us. I love seeing Luke in his prime as a mentor. His interactions with Grogu are so pure.

IT’S ALL CONNECTED

But beyond that, this episode connects all eras of Star Wars. You have elements from the Prequels, the Original Trilogy and hints of the Sequels. The people behind the Mando-Verse are doing such an incredible work to connect all eras in the most beautiful way. You can feel the passion from Favreau, Filoni and the others. And that’s why I love the Mando-Verse so much. These people love and understand Star Wars. And if it wasn’t already clear enough last week, this episode proves The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett are just one big story. It’s why I call it the “Mando-Verse.”

And because this episode is co-written by Dave Filoni, we also get to see Ahsoka. Ahsoka knows Luke, yes! It’s something I have been wanting to see for a long time! Since The Mandalorian season 2 finale, I realized that we could definitely see it happen soon. And soon is now. I am beyond happy, I am overflown with joy. Even as I am writing these words, I am still wondering is this a dream? It’s not, this actually happened! It happened in live-action!

THE COMING WAR
The Book Of Boba Fett Chapter 6

Apart from the Jedi stuff, since it’s the penultimate episode the story also focuses on the coming war with the Pykes. And from what we saw today, things are going to be quite explosive next week! Indeed, with Cad Bane in town, our heroes need to be careful. Yes, we have another animated character making his live-action debut. And this one makes a killer entrance. It’s worthy of the best Western movies.

This episode shows that the Pykes are becoming a threat not only to Boba’s territory but to other places on Tatooine as well. So that means we get to see Cobb Vanth again. It’s the perfect opportunity to bring him back. He was one of the many highlights of The Mandalorian season 2. Thus, I am so happy to see him again. You can’t say no to Timothy Olyphant! There are so many surprises in one single episode. I think fans are going to talk about this one for a long time!

VERDICT

Chapter 6 is one of the best pieces of Star Wars storytelling! It’s the stuff dreams are made of.

The Book of Boba Fett is now streaming on Disney Plus.
