In the gripping series premiere, the U.S.S Enterprise embarks on its five-year mission under the command of Captain Christopher Pike. With its exceptional opening title sequence that harkens back to the classic Trek of yesteryear, this series has everything going for it. And that is something truly exciting…engage!

Here’s the full synopsis for the episode:

Series premiere. When one of Pike’s officers goes missing while on a secret mission for Starfleet, Pike has to come out of self-imposed exile. He must navigate how to rescue his officer, while struggling with what to do with the vision of the future he’s been given.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds stars Anson Mount as Captain Christopher Pike, Rebecca Romjin as Number One, and Ethan Peck as Spock. Joining the crew for their five-year mission are Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas, Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga and Bruce Horak as Hemmer.

New episodes of Strange New Worlds premiere weekly on Thursdays only on Paramount+. The series will debut in the UK when the streamer launches on June 22, 2022.
