Today, Universal Pictures has dropped a brand new featurette that peels back the curtain and allows us a peek at the adventure awaiting us in theatres on June 10th. And our guides on this whirlwind journey through the park are stars Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard; Sam Neill, Laura Dern, Jeff Goldblum, and writer/director Colin Trevorrow. SYNOPSIS
Four years after the Lockwood estate incident, dinosaurs now live—and hunt—alongside humans all over the world. This fragile balance will reshape the future and determine once and for all whether human beings are to remain the apex predators on a planet they now share with history’s most fearsome creatures.
CAST
Leading Jurassic World Dominion’s all star cast are Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Laura Dern; Jeff Goldblum, and the legendary Sam Neill. The film features new cast members DeWanda Wise (She’s Gotta Have It), Emmy nominee Mamoudou Athie (Archive 81), Dichen Lachman (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Scott Haze (Minari), and Campbell Scott (The Amazing Spider-Man 2). The film’s returning cast includes BD Wong as Dr. Henry Wu, Justice Smith as Franklin Webb, Daniella Pineda as Dr. Zia Rodriguez, and Omar Sy as Barry Sembenè.
RELEASE
What a sensational cast. And the return of Colin Trevorrow to the directorial hot seat is a welcome move from Universal. The director has the utmost respect for the source material and his work on the original JW delivered what many believe to be the perfect tribute to Steven Spielberg’s masterwork. But can he stick the landing and deliver the finale we all want to see? Only time will tell. But with old friends back for the ride and the Giganotosaurus unleashing nature’s fury on our unsuspecting cast, Dominion promises to be the biggest rollercoaster ride of the summer. And that is an enticing prospect.
