Confirmed at Star Wars Celebration, Rick Fumuyiwa will join the executive production team on The Mandalorian Season 3
The big reveals at Star Wars Celebration show no signs of stopping. After the small but significant footage reveal on DAY ONE, Jon Favreau and Dave Filoni returned to the stage today to discuss the past and the future of The Mandalorian. And the first order of business was to confirm that Rick Fumuyiwa will serve as an executive producer for Mando’s third season.

Fumuyiwa was on hand to direct “Chapter 2: The Child” as well as writing and directing “Chapter 6: The Prisoner and Chapter 15: The Believer” of the hit Disney Plus series. So he brings an amazing caliber to proceedings. But the fun doesn’t end there because, in addition to his new duties, he will also be pulling double duty as a director.
In addition to his directing duties, Rick Famuyiwa will also executive produce Season 3 of #TheMandalorian #StarWarsCelebration

SEASON 3
This is wonderful news. Rick Fumuyiwa delivered some of the most memorable episodes from Mando’s first two seasons. So we are in safe hands as we transition into SEASON 3. Sadly, the footage that was shown on Thursday, nor the extended footage from today’s panel have been officially released online. But rest assured, as soon as the footage arrives from the Force we’ll add it to the site.
