Look out Ray Harryhausen fans because the Centaur from The Golden Voyage Of Sinbad is coming to the Star Ace Toys X-Plus collection
Beware of the natives of the lost continent of Lemuria because Star Ace Toys has announced a new statue of the Centaur from Ray Harryhausen’s The Golden Voyage Of Sinbad. In the film, the guardians of the Fountain Of Destiny seize Margiana (Caroline Munro) and attempt to sacrifice her to the one-eyed beast. But thankfully, the Fountain’s guardian, the Griffin arrives to save the day. And alongside Sinbad, both engage the Centaur in a duel to the death.
THE STATUE
The Centaur is one of Ray Harryhausen’s finest creations. And now, Star Ace Toys has recreated its majesty in their latest creation. The 12″ tall statue features the Centaur clutching his giant club in his right hand. But there’s plenty more to get excited about. That’s because there are multiple versions available to order. There is the Normal Version and the Deluxe Version. The latter offers the bonus of a wonderful diorama base. Read on for the full details.

Ray Harryhausen created the one-eyed centaur to be a menacing monster, his giant club at the ready to take on heroes and other dangerous creatures. Star Ace has recreated the Harryhausen puppet as a 33cm tall soft vinyl statue, posed in mid-battle. Sculpted by the renowned artisans at Kaibutsuya, each piece is meticulously hand-painted.
The Deluxe version comes with a polyresin diorama base depicting the floor of the Centaur’s cave.
