Sasaki and Miyano Arrive On The Big Screen In 2023!

Sasaki and Miyano are headed on the big screen!

After a successful first season that was definitely one of the highlights of the Winter anime season, a new anime project was announced for Sasaki and Miyano. However, we did not know what it would be. Many fans thought it would either be a second season or a movie. Today, it was finally announced that the new anime project is a movie. In fact, it is two movies. Indeed, the feature film is called Sasaki and Miyano – Graduation Edition.

Season 1 ended with Miyano finally telling Sasaki he loves him. Now that the two are finally dating, there is still plenty of story left to tell. Sho Harusono is currently still writing the manga. The movie will continue the story told in the series. And as the title indicates, it will be about graduation. More specifically, Sasaki’s graduation who is in his final year of high school. Thus, the movie will at least adapt the seventh volume of the manga.

Plus, the second movie is a Hirano and Kagiura short film. Hirano and Kagiura is a spinoff with its own manga. And this Summer, they will have their own recitation drama. In season 1, Hirano was a secondary character who appeared in most episodes. While Kagiura only made a short appearance in episode 8.

Both movies will be released together in Japanese cinemas in 2023. This is great news for fans of the franchise! We have no information yet concerning the international release. We will keep you up to date as soon as we know more!
