The Acolyte is the first Disney Plus project to be set in The High Republic era. Which takes place a century before the events of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace. The series is will explore the Jedi at the height of their power, in a time when the Sith are thought to be extinct. The series is being helmed by “Russian Doll” co-creator Leslye Headland who has a wealth of High Republic publishing titles to take inspiration from.
RELEASE
Just how many elements from The High Republic publishing platform will feature in The Acolyte remains to be seen. However, with so many wonderful characters to call upon, the series could raise the bar and give us a window into an era of Star Wars previously unexplored on the silver screen. Exciting times ahead.
Sadly, Star Wars: The Acolyte still has no official release date attached. However, as soon as more information hits the wires, we’ll cover it here on Future Of The Force.
