Steve dives into the series premiere of She-Hulk Attorney At Law. But was it the series opener he had hoped for?
I would be lying if I said I had low expectations for She-Hulk. I think I almost forced myself to have low expectations. Except The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, and Hawkeye, I have found most of the MCU shows on Disney+ on the mediocre side. After watching the most recent Ms. Marvel, which I was very excited about, I felt like I was let down. I wanted to be excited about this series because I like the character. And being a big fan of the Hulk was looking forward to seeing Ruffalo in the role again.

PLEASANTLY SURPRISED
So on August 18th, when we got the first episode of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, I can thankfully say that I was pleasantly surprised at what we got.
This show was a blast! I loved the dynamic between Jennifer and Bruce. They played so well off each other and Bruce’s irritation and everything that Jennifer was doing better than him was hilarious. I loved the fourth wall discussion that Jennifer Walters kept having throughout the episode. I loved how it started as a legal show and quickly turned into She-Hulk’s story. And I liked how they did her origin and that not a ton of time was spent on how she got the powers. That shows how she became She-Hulk and then get on with the story. I thought Tatiana Maslany did a great job in her portrayal of Jennifer Walters.

It was a good setup for a fun show, which I think Marvel sorely needed.
She-Hulk: Attorney At Law is streaming on Disney Plus now!
