Tsurune reveals its first season 2 teaser trailer! The series is scheduled to air in January 2023.

Last week, Kyoto Animation announced Tsurune would be coming back for a second season. And today during another stage greeting in Japan, the team has revealed the first teaser trailer.

The teaser focuses on Minato but also features Shû, the new character Eisuke Nikaido and confirms the return of the other characters – Seiya, Masa, Nanao, Ryōhei and Kaito. It is just small glimpses of the characters. As usual, Kyoto Animation remains secretive with their teasers.

The second season entitled ‘Tsurune – Tsunagari no Issha‘ will premiere in January 2023. Yuuto Uemura and Kensho Ono respectively return as Minato and Shuu. While Jun Fukuyama joins the cast as Eisuke Nikaido. Other cast members are also expected to return. Takuya Yamamura will once again direct the episodes.

Synopsis of the first season:

“When Narumiya Minato joins Prefectural Kazemai High School, he is quickly invited to join the archery club by the club’s advisor, Tommy-sensei. His childhood friends Takehaya Seiya and Yamanouchi Ryohei swiftly agree to join, but Minato is hesitant at first. Because Minato is the rare student with experience in archery, Tommy-sensei orders him to give a demonstration, which Minato does… except his arrow doesn’t hit the target. It is revealed that Minato has developed a terrible dysfunction regarding archery.”

As of now, there is no release date for the movie internationally. But do not worry, we at Future of the Force will bring you the news as soon as we know more. As for the second season, it is likely going to be simulcast by Crunchyroll like the first one.
