
The all-new character posters from The Crown Season 5 showcase the royal cast and tease a house divided – streaming on November 9
After the passing of Queen Elizabeth II, the fifth season of The Crown went on hiatus. And for a time, it seemed as if the series would languish on the shelf until the dust settled. But thankfully, with all the pageantry coming to a close and King Charles now taking on his official duties as monarch, the series is back with a bang. And today, just days after Netflix delivered our first look at the upcoming fifth season, the streamer has dropped a string of new character posters. And by royal decree, we have them all to share with you.

So, without further ado, put on your Sunday best and join us as we meet the actors tasked with carrying the final two seasons forwards. As has become a regular fixture over the past few seasons, Seasons 5 and 6 will feature an entirely new cast. And the changes begin at the very top.
A NEW CAST
Filling the shoes of Queen Elizabeth II is a daunting task. And following the dazzling performances of Claire Foy and Olivia Coleman, the duty has been awarded to Imelda Staunton. Also joining the series are Dominic West and Elizabeth Debicki, who play Prince Charles and Princess Diana. Jonathan Pryce takes over as Prince Philip from Tobias Menzies, Lesley Manville arrives as Princess Margaret, Claudia Harrison dazzles as Princess Anne, and Olivia Williams stars as Camilla Parker Bowles. And rounding out the cast, Jonny Lee Miller stars as Prime Minister John Major. Meet the cast below.

And just when you thought the pageantry had come to a close, Netflix also dropped the official series poster which you can enjoy below. The poster features the turmoil between Diana and Charles. With Queen Elizabeth II forced to look on as her family falls apart at the seams.

This season is shaping up to be one of the best yet. And if the quality of past seasons is anything to go by; the fifth season will be a mainstay of our winter watchlist. As mentioned above, the fifth season of The Crown will premiere on Netflix on November 9th, 2022. The season consists of TEN one-hour episodes.
