Massive Talent is an insanely fun and smart movie. Nicolas Cage playing himself is as meta as it gets and he goes all in for that. Pedro Pascal is a scene-stealer, you just can’t get enough of him. And the two form a terrific duo!

17 – DRIFTING HOME

Drifting Home is a poignant coming-of-age adventure with a lot of heart and vivid visuals. This is another success for Studio Colorido.

Bubble is a visual wonder that juggles between the thrills of parkour and the lyrical exploration of what it means to be human.

10 – TOP GUN: MAVERICK

Tom Cruise plays Capt. Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in Top Gun: Maverick from Paramount Pictures, Skydance, and Jerry Bruckheimer Films.

Top Gun Maverick is a thrilling ride and also quite emotional. This is how you make a sequel. Joseph Kosinski’s visual style is simply breathtaking. Tom Cruise makes us feel the need for speed once again, no one does it like him. Easily one of the best movies of the year.

9 – BELLE

Thor Love and Thunder is an electrifying and mesmerizing adventure. Taika Waititi perfectly balances humor with the emotional heart of the story. It can be hilarious at times while deeply moving in other scenes. He is the right man to tell stories about Thor. May he continue for the foreseeable future. He knows exactly how to balance humor and emotions while also addressing serious themes. This is undoubtedly the best Thor movie. And this is also the perfect movie for this Summer. Christian Bale’s unhinged performance with the amazing Natalie Portman as Mighty Thor is the highlight of this fantastic cast.

7 – THE BATMAN

ROBERT PATTINSON as Batman in Warner Bros. Pictures’ action adventure “THE BATMAN,” a Warner Bros. Pictures release.

The Batman is the best Batman movie. At its heart, it’s a mystery story and an in-depth character study. Matt Reeves has created a dark and gritty universe. And Robert Pattinson proves himself to be a memorable Batman delivering a complex and multi-layered performance.

6 – HOLD ME BACK

Hold Me Back is a refreshing and unusual romance. It can be funny at times but also deeply moving. Rena Nōnen carries the film with an exceptional performance. She knocks it out of the park. A true acting masterclass!
It is undoubtedly one of the best movies I’ve seen this year.
