This week on The Official Film Chart, A Man Called Otto arrives, and we start to Sceam again, but Elvis rocks his way back to the top!

THE OFFICIAL CHART

This week, we see one new entry and one re-entry into the chart positions. As such, we say farewell to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Violent Night. We also see a former number-one title return to reclaim the top spot. But what could it be? Start swiveling those hips as we find out.

ELVIS ROCKS BACK UP TO NUMBER ONE!

Elvis shimmies and shakes its way back to Number 1 on the UK’s Official Film Chart. The eight-time Oscar-nominated movie, starring Austin Butler as the titular King of Rock’n’Roll, enjoys a resurgence on digital downloads this week to send it back to the top of the charts for a third non-consecutive week. PUSS IN BOOTS GETS BOOTED FROM THE TOP!

Puss In Boots: The Last Wish is denied a second week at Number 1, dropping to Number 2.

MATILDA DANCES DOWN THE CHART!

Roald Dahl’s Matilda The Musical is also pushed down one place to Number 3.

WHITNEY DECIDES TO DANCE WITH SOMEBODY UP THE CHART!

Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance With Somebody lifts two places, returning to its previous peak of Number 4.

A MAN CALLED OTTO ARRIVES IN THE CHART!

This week’s highest new entry is comedy-drama A Man Called Otto, debuting at Number 5. Tom Hanks stars as Otto, an old grump who has given up following the death of his wife-until a young family moves in nearby and he forms an unlikely friendship that turns his world around.

LIVING LOSES A LIFE!

Dropping two this week is the British drama Living, starring Bill Nighy, which drops to sixth.

MAVERICK IS SHOT DOWN BY TWO PLACES!

Top Gun: Maverick is shot down by two places to seventh. (Read our review here).

BLACK ADAM REBOUNDS BACK!

THE BANSHEES DROP A PLACE!

The Banshees of Inisherin down one place to number nine.

IT’S TIME TO SCREAM AGAIN!

Finally, Scream (2022) soars back into the Top 10 this week following the release of Scream VI in cinemas, rounding off the week’s countdown at Number 10. (Read our review here).
