The multi-award-winning media agency, World of Wonder, has “ru-vealed” a first-look teaser trailer that showcases the upcoming eighth season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars”. The trailer includes a sneak peek of the upcoming series in which 12 contestants from across the Drag Race franchise will compete for a coveted spot in the Drag Race Hall of Fame.
The teaser also included some of the very special guest judges who will aid host RuPaul, and the regular judges Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley, Ross Mathews, and TS Madison, in their search for the season’s winner.
The new season is produced by World of Wonder (WOW) and will premiere in the UK exclusively on WOW’s owned streaming platform and the home of all things drag, WOW Presents Plus, from Friday 12th May at 8 am BST.
A FIRST LOOK
The new teaser, which showcases the outstanding talent that this season will bring, has offered fans of the franchise a first look at what is to come, in what promises to be another outstanding season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race: All Stars”. Be prepared for a masterclass of charisma, uniqueness, nerve, and talent, as the 12 queens compete in various challenges – designing, girl groups, acting, the iconic snatch game, and more – all for their chance to win a staggering grand prize of $200,000.
SPECIAL CELEBRITY GUEST JUDGES
Alongside the super tease, WOW has also announced some of the special celebrity guest judges who will aid host RuPaul Charles and the iconic regular hosts in their search for the next entrée into the Drag Race Hall of Fame. The season promises some of the most iconic cameo appearances – from musicians to actors to comedians – who will support and encourage our queens on their All-Star journey.
Showcased within the trailer shared today, these include Adam Shankman, Brandon Boyd, Bowen Yang, Ego Nwodim, Idina Menzel, Javicia Leslie, JoJo Siwa, Matt Rogers, Maude Apatow, Robin Thede, Thom Filicia, and Zooey Deschanel.
THE TWELVE QUEENS
Announced last week, the twelves queens competing in the new season from across the Drag Race franchise include beloved fan favorites, scene-stealers, and larger-than-life personalities. They are Alexis Michelle (“RuPaul’s Drag Race” S9), Darienne Lake (“RuPaul’s Drag Race” S6), Heidi N Closet (“RuPaul’s Drag Race” S12), Jaymes Mansfield (“RuPaul’s Drag Race” S9), Jessica Wild (“RuPaul’s Drag Race” S2), Jimbo (“Canada’s Drag Race” S1 and “RuPaul’s Drag Race: UK vs The World”), Kahanna Montrese (“RuPaul’s Drag Race” S11), Kandy Muse (“RuPaul’s Drag Race” S13), LaLa Ri (“RuPaul’s Drag Race” S13), Monica Beverly Hillz (“RuPaul’s Drag Race” S5), Mrs. Kasha Davis (“RuPaul’s Drag Race” S7) and Naysha Lopez (“RuPaul’s Drag Race” S8).
