Batman Returns…again! A sneak peek of the Batman theme composed by Benjamin Wallfisch for The Flash has been released by Watertower Music.
With just two weeks until the big screen release of The Flash, Watertower Music has dropped our first listen to Benjamin Wallfisch’s Batman theme. With Barry Allen crossing paths with Michael Keaton’s Batman, DC fans are looking forward to what is a shoo-in to be one of the best DC movies to date. And the reactions so far sound very promising.
With Michael Keaton returning to the DC Universe for the first time in over three decades, fans are hoping for a suitably bombastic score. But any hopes of Danny Elfman returning to compose the soundtrack were dashed when Benjamin Wallisch was tasked with composing the music. But what can Wallfisch bring to the table? And more importantly, will he be employing Elfman’s iconic Batman theme?
Thankfully, Wallfisch has risen to the challenge and delivered something special. The composer, via Watertower Music, has already treated us to a bunch of tracks from his memorable score. But until now, his theme for Batman has been largely kept under wraps. However, all that changed today. Watertower Music has dropped two more tracks from the soundtrack for us to enjoy and they feature a hefty dose of Elfman magic. Scroll down and listen for yourself.
SOUNDS ABOUT RIGHT, BRUCE
I AM BATMAN
I must commend Benjamin Wallfisch for creating a soundtrack that has become my most awaited of the year. The way he handled Danny Elfman’s renowned theme has evoked a deep emotional reaction that will surely connect with fans worldwide. And when coupled with the suitably bombastic themes at play throughout the score, I think it’s safe to assume that the composer has hit a solid home run here. I’m excited to experience the symphonic brilliance of the movie on a larger screen.
Be sure to mark your calendar for June 14th, as The Flash and the incredible soundtrack by Wallfisch will be racing into U.K. cinemas.
Are you a fan of Wallfisch’s incredible score for The Flash? Has the contemporary polish on Elfman’s theme hit you right in the feels? Sound off below. We’d love to hear from you.
