Outfit7 is joining Green Game Jam 2023 with two environmental in-game events with Talking Tom Gold Run, and My Talking Angela 2.

Outfit7 will be participating in the Green Game Jam 2023 with their popular games, Talking Tom Gold Run and My Talking Angela 2, to raise awareness about wildlife conservation.

Players can dive into both in-game events and experience the thrill firsthand. The events will be available to play from June 1st until June 12th, giving players ample time to get involved. But that’s not all. They’re incredibly proud to announce their contribution of $60,000 to Re:wild. They are an organization dedicated to safeguarding critically endangered harlequin toads in the Amazon rainforest.

Outfit7 has announced its participation in the Green Game Jam 2023, where 40 games from companies around the world are teaming up to raise $1 million to protect three wild ecosystems. The multinational company aims to raise awareness about wildlife conservation through events hosted in its flagship games, Talking Tom Gold Run and My Talking Angela 2. In addition, Outfit7 will make a donation of $60,000 to Re:wild in support of harlequin toad conservation.

Re: wild is a non-profit organization that protects and restores the wild. They work closely with the Atelopus Survival Initiative, which is dedicated to protecting harlequin toads, one of the most threatened groups of amphibians in the world, including in the Amazon Rainforest.

“Joining Green Game Jam 2023 is a testament to our commitment to making a positive impact in the world,” said Xinyu Qian, CEO of Outfit7. “Both in-game events provide an engaging and fun way for players to learn about the importance of preserving the Amazon rainforest, and to inspire them to take action to protect it.“

Starting today, Talking Tom Gold Run players can participate in the “Grow & Go” event, where they collect special water droplets to nurture their very own in-game tree. As players help their trees grow, endangered animals from the Amazon appear, and players are rewarded for their conservation efforts with in-game treats, including in-game currencies.

Meanwhile, in My Talking Angela 2, the green action is taking place on Talking Angela’s brand new Balcony. In this new feature, players help Angela grow flowers, aiming to attract and take care of bees – wildlife that is vital to sustaining the Amazon ecosystem. Both events will be available from June 1 to June 12, 2023, then every weekend until the end of June.

Players can give their environmental action a boost by using the promo code “BEE” in My Talking Angela 2 for 2,000 extra coins, and “TREE” in Talking Tom Gold Run for 300 extra water tokens.

The Green Game Jam is an annual initiative by the Playing for the Planet Alliance where gaming studios are challenged to implement ‘green activations’ into their existing games. Each year, these green activations have a common environmental theme and aim to engage players around the world and inspire them to take action for the environment. The goal of the Green Game Jam is to accelerate the number of gaming studios that take action for the environment by making use of their reach. Playing for the Planet envisions a gaming industry where games are not only seen as a form of entertainment, but also as an educational and inspirational tool to activate people on environmental topics.

Re: wild protects and restores the wild. We have a singular and powerful focus: the wild as the most effective solution to the interconnected climate, biodiversity, and human well-being crises. Founded by a group of renowned conservation scientists together with Leonardo DiCaprio, Re: wild is a force multiplier that brings together Indigenous peoples, local communities, influential leaders, nongovernmental organizations, governments, companies, and the public to protect and rewild at the scale and speed we need. Our vital work has protected and conserved more than 180 million acres benefitting more than 16,000 species in the world’s most irreplaceable places for biodiversity. We don’t need to reinvent the planet. We need to rewild it—for all wild kind.
