Lucasfilm has shared a fun new featurette exploring the legacy of Indiana Jones as we near the release of Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny
We are just two weeks away from experiencing Indy’s final adventure in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny and Lucasfilm is in a celebratory mood. Today, the studio has shared a thrilling featurette exploring the legacy of everybody’s favorite obtainer of rare antiquities. And as you might expect, it takes us back to the very beginning and the opening moments of Raiders of the Lost Ark. Boasting new interviews with James Mangold, Steven Spielberg, and Harrison Ford himself, this featurette is a hidden gem. So strap yourself in and whipcrack away!
THE LAST ADVENTURE
For Indy’s last outing before he rides off into the sunset forever, the famed archeologist will race against time to retrieve a legendary artifact that can change the course of history.
The movie is directed by franchise newcomer James Mangold (Logan) and boasts the writing talents of Jez Butterworth, John Henry Butterworth, David Koepp, and James Mangold. Joining Harrison Ford in his final appearance is franchise debutant Pheobe Waller-Bridge as Indy’s rebellious goddaughter. Also attached to appear are Mads Mikkelsen, John Rhys-Davies, Toby Jones, and Boyd Holbrook. Legendary composer John Williams returns to score the final adventure with Steven Spielberg serving as a hands-on producer.
The wait for cinemagoers to experience Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny is going to be arduous. After all, two weeks feels like an eternity. But thanks to Disney Plus, Indy fans won’t have to wait until June 28th to get their fix. All four of the classic Indy adventures are available to stream on the platform now.
