MTV And Snoochie Shy Are On A Nationwide Search For The UK's Best Undiscovered Musicians!

MTV and Snoochie Shy are powering the UK edition of the Paramount Music Showcase, an initiative to elevate underrepresented voices within music.

Just ahead of the 2023 MTV VMAs, music’s most iconic night, MTV and Paramount UK have launched a UK-wide search for the country’s most exciting untapped musical talent. Hosted by broadcaster and MTV presenter Snoochie Shy, the initiative’s aim is to uplift historically underrepresented voices within the UK music scene.

Aspiring artists should apply HERE before 24th September at 11:59.

MENTORS

After entries close, four exceptional talents will be matched with a leading mentor from the industry. Each mentor will help their artist prepare for a showcase performance in central London on 26th October. Attended by influential figures from music and media, as well as offer coaching on songwriting. Production and developing live performance skills. Mentors for the initiative are:

Mel Rudder – Radio Plugger, Music Consultant and Artist Manager
Mohammad Qazalbash – Vice President, Publicity at Live Nation Entertainment
Taponeswa Mavunga – Director of Africa, Sony Music UK
Victor Aroldoss – Senior Vice President, International Marketing, Warner Music UK

Curated by the Paramount Music, Creative and Production teams in partnership with Paramount’s Office of Global Inclusion, the inaugural rendition of this first-of-its-kind initiative took place in Autumn 2022 in New York City.
