Review | Wonka (2023)

This week on The Official Chart, we spend another Five Nights At Freddy’s, and go on another PAW Patrol, leaving Wonka to stay sweet at the top!

Welcome to The Official Film Chart.

THE UK TOP TEN

This week, not much has changed on the chart. We get a single re-entry into the placings, bringing The Equalizer 3‘s time inside the top ten to an end. Titles move up, down, or stay put as they feel like. But what is holding the top spot this week? It is once again time to take a journey of Pure Imagination as we find out.

IT’S A SWEET VICTORY FOR WONKA AT THE TOP!

Wonka earns a second week as the UK’s Number 1 film as it more than doubles the sales of its closest competition. Timothee Chalamet’s turn as the eccentric chocolatier in this prequel to the events of Roald Dahl’s Charlie & The Chocolate Factory once again tops the Official Film Chart on digital downloads only. WILL THE CHART BE WATERLOGGED NEXT WEEK?

And that is this week’s top ten titles. Next week, the chart may be waterlogged, thanks to the release this week of Aquaman And The Lost Kingdom (Read our review here) and the horror movie Night Swim on PVOD. Both are now available to rent for £15.99 or to buy for £19.99. Will either trouble Wonka at the top of the chart next week? We will find out next Wednesday, so until then…

Whatever you decide, whatever you buy, stay safe, be kind, look after each other, and happy viewing!
