Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire

The Monsterverse continues as Godzilla and Kong return for more Titan mayhem when Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire opens on March 29th. 

After the superb climax to the Apple TV+ series Monarch: Legacy Of Monsters, we were left with the perfect finale. For those who didn’t get to see the final shot of the series, take a look at the final seconds in the video below:

Did you really think he wouldn’t make a cameo appearance somewhere in the show? Of course, he did! And had fans of the Monsterverse salivating at what they could look forward to. Of course, the finale led to Godzilla Vs Kong, but it also left a few unanswered questions. What new creatures existed in Hollow Earth? Will we see some of the classic Toho creatures take on Godzilla once again? And is Lee Shaw (Kurt Russell) still alive? These are questions for a (hopefully) second season of the show. But we may also get some answers with the release of Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire.

A NEW TRAILER FOR THE NEW EMPIRE

The new trailer for the film has been released online. Fans will lap up the looks at our Titan heroes and their fearsome new adversary. The cast for this new chapter includes the returning Rebecca Hall as Dr. Ilene Andrews, Brian Tyree Henry as Bernie Hayes, and Kaylee Hottle as Jia. Newcomers for this fifth movie in the Monsterverse franchise include Dan Stevens, Alex Ferns, Fala Chen, and Rachel House.

The film is directed by Adam Wingard, returning after Godzilla Vs Kong. The screenplay is by Terry Rossio, Simon Barrett, and Jeremy Slater. The story is by Rossio, Barrett, and Adam Wingard. The film is produced by Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni, and Brian Rogers. Mary Parent, Alex Garcia, and Eric McLeod. Tom Holkenborg returns to provide the score for the film. Let’s see what the Titans have in store for us.

PREMISE

This latest entry follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure. Pitting the mighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world. Challenging their very existence – and our own. The epic new film will delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins, and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond. While uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.
