Paramount+ Greenlights A New Reality Series, Team Moms

Boasting some great-looking brand-new series and some classic TV shows from years gone by, it is a marvellous May on Paramount+. With premieres like Insomnia. A new movie in MK Ultra. And the return of the classic, favourite shows Buffy The Vampire Slayer and The X-Files, the entertainment mountain has once again delivered. Grab your remote as we take a look at what May has in store for us.

Paramount Plus Launches in the UK in June

INSOMNIA

The first two episodes drop on May 23rd. There are 6 episodes in total that run for 60 minutes each. Insomnia follows Emma, who fears she might be losing her mind when her hard-won dream life starts to turn into a nightmare. A couple of weeks before her fortieth birthday, Emma stops sleeping. Just as her mother had done right before she suffered a violent psychotic breakdown on the night of her fortieth birthday. Emma’s mother always told her she’d go the same way. That she had the same ‘Bad Blood’ and now Emma’s terrified it’s true.

As events worsen, Emma’s world starts to unravel and she realises that only by investigating the truth of her painful past, can she find the answers to her present and prevent tragedy from striking a second time.

MK ULTRA

The film drops on May 24th. Set during the true and unconscionable Central Intelligence Agency MK ULTRA drug experimentations in the early 1960s, the film follows the journey of Ford Srauss, a brilliant psychiatrist, whose moral and scientific boundaries are pushed to the limit as he is recruited to run a subset of the program in a rural Mississippi hospital.

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER

The box set drops on May 3rd. It contains 7 series, 144 episodes in total that run for 45 minutes each. Teenager Buffy Summers is the Slayer, a lone young woman chosen in each generation to be bestowed with mystical powers to fight Vampires, Demons and the forces of darkness. Beings descended from the ‘Old Ones’, the evil inhabitants of Earth before humans, who hope to rule Earth once more.

THE X-FILES

A new series is coming weekly from May 13th. There are 11 series in total, 218 episodes that run for 45 minutes each. Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, two special FBI agents, probe into cases that have been left unresolved. While Mulder believes in the paranormal, Scully settles for a more scientific approach.

CONTINUED ICONIC SERIES

To go alongside the new and classic shows in May, there are the continuations of series that have already premiered. The Ewan McGregor series A Gentleman In Moscow sees episodes 6-8 become available. All episodes will be able to stream on May 17th. Star Trek: Discovery warps in with episodes 6-10. All episodes will be available on May 30th. The Challenge: All Stars Series 4 will have episodes 5-9 hitting screens with all episodes being available on June 20th. And Celebrity Ex On The Beach Series 3 will see episodes 9 & 10 dropping with the entire series available on May 14th.
