We are just days away from episode seven of the fifth and final season of STAR TREK: DISCOVERY, and things are heating up like an overactive warp core. The fifth season of Discovery features a great cast, including Sonequa Martin-Green as Captain Michael Burnham, Doug Jones as Saru, Anthony Rapp as Paul Stamets, Mary Wiseman as Sylvia Tilly, Wilson Cruz as Dr. Hugh Culber, David Ajala as Cleveland “Book” Booker, Blu del Barrio as Adira, and Callum Keith Rennie as Rayner. Additionally, the season will have two recurring guest stars, Elias Toufexis as L’ak and Eve Harlow as Moll.
CBS Studios produces the series in association with Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. The executive producers include Alex Kurtzman, Michelle Paradise, Heather Kadin, Aaron Baiers, Olatunde Osunsanmi, Frank Siracusa, John Weber, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth. Alex Kurtzman and Michelle Paradise are the co-showrunners.

The latest episode arrives amid a plethora of news from the Star Trek universe. Paramount has confirmed that STRANGE NEW WORLDS has been renewed for a fourth season. The flagship series will return for its third season in 2025. However, it has been announced that STAR TREK: LOWER DECKS will be canceled after its fifth and final season, tempering the news.
