Netflix has confirmed that production of Wednesday, Season 2, is underway, and several new cast members are joining the show.
She’s creepy, she’s kooky, and she’s back! Netflix has officially announced that production of Season 2 of “Wednesday” has begun. The streaming platform confirmed the news through a teaser video, in which Thing is shown distributing scripts to the new cast members. The teaser reveals some exciting new additions to the cast. Aside from Jenna Ortega, several actors from season one, including Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, Isaac Ordonez, and Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo, have been promoted to series regulars. Additionally, in a shock twist, Percy Hynes White will not be returning as Xavier Thorpe.

NEW ADDITIONS
However, some notable new additions are joining the cast for Season 2. Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, and Noah Taylor are joining as series regulars. The second season will feature guest appearances from various actors, including Christopher Lloyd, who played Fester in the original Addams Family movies. Other guests include Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, and Joonas Suotamo of Star Wars fame. Check out the cast reveal teaser below.

NEW SEASON
The first season of Wednesday consisted of eight episodes. Read our review. Millar Gough Ink, Tim Burton Productions, Toluca Pictures, and MGM Television produce the series. Tim Burton is highly anticipated to direct the first episode of the upcoming season. However, Netflix has not yet confirmed this nor announced a release date. Nevertheless, with the production already underway, it is safe to assume that we can join the Addams Family on their next eerie adventures sooner rather than later.
