We will begin to start howling at the (Full) moon on January 17th when Blumhouse’s Wolf Man howls into cinemas. Watch the trailer here.
We will need to try and ‘Keep The Bad Things Outside’ on January 17th 2025. That is when the Blumhouse version of the classic tale will be howling into cinemas. The film, entitled Wolf Man, is a more modern and contemporary version of the material. A reboot of the black-and-white classic The Wolf Man, this new version features Christopher Abbott and Julia Garner. Jason Blum produces the movie under his Blumhouse Productions banner alongside Motel Movies. Universal Pictures, the longtime holders of the rights to the story and movies will once again be distributing. Directing the film is Leigh Whannell from a screenplay by the writing teams of Whannell & Corbett Tuck and Lauren Schuker Blum & Rebecca Angelo. Once more, it is based on The Wolf Man by Curt Siodmak.
The first trailer for the film has been released. It doesn’t show too much to the audience but it does just enough to raise the interest levels. As you will see, this version is set in the current day. Now, I am a stickler for Wolf Man films to be set in the past so I’m on the fence about the premise being brought into the modern day. However, from what I’ve seen so far, I am intrigued to see how it plays out. Finding out that Christopher Abbott’s character has retained the name of Lawrence “Larry” Talbot / Wolf Man also has me crossing my fingers. The transformation from man to Wolf Man starts here as we take our first bite.
PREMISE
A man seeks to protect himself and his family from a dangerous werewolf at night during a full moon. While returning to his hometown, Lawrence is afflicted by an ancient curse after being bitten by a werewolf.
THE FIRST POSTER
In addition to the trailer, the first poster for the film has also been revealed.

We will attempt to keep the bad things outside this January 17th when Wolf Man opens in cinemas.
