The 2024 Fortnite Fortnitemares Season Unleashes Edward Scissorhands

It’s Fortnitemares season, and Epic Games is getting ready to make it a memorable one. The highly anticipated Fortnite x SAW collaboration recently arrived in the item shop, allowing fans to add Billy the Puppet to their collection. But if you thought the games were over, you’re dead wrong. The new lineup of characters arriving during Fortnitemares has been revealed, and it’s safe to say we are being spoiled this year. Not only are the long-awaited Disney Villains arriving in this update, but a host of fantastic new characters will be making their debut. Some are fresh and new, while others are some of the pillars of pop culture.
Now, the map has changed to feature several Halloween-inspired POIs, and some of the most recognizable horror-themed characters are making their way to the map. These include Johnny Depp’s Edward Scissorhands and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre’s Leatherface. Complimenting the ABSOLUTE DOOM season is the infamous Marvel demon, Mephisto, and finally, the Pumpkin King and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas are bringing the jump scares. But if that isn’t enough, new symbiote skins from Venom: The Last Dance will unleash the carnage later in the season, bringing the potential for Eddie Brock’s long-awaited return to the item shop. It’s shaping up to be one of Fortnite’s best seasons, and we’re thrilled about it!
THE NIGHTMARE BEFORE CHRISTMAS?
After the success of Jack Skellington, Epic Games has dipped back into The Nightmare Before Christmas collection to bring The Pumpkin King and Sally to the player base. These new and screen-accurate skins are available from the item shop right now and are a shoo-in to start the season with a bang. In addition to Sally and The Pumpkin King, the set boasts two back bling, two pickaxes, sprays, and a Boo! Emote.
The set also includes the Pumpkin King’s King’s Horse Parade glider. Considering the accessories included, this set is a deluxe collection, and the cost reflects that. However, Fortnite has split the components to make the set more affordable. If you wish to buy the whole set, the bundle will save you a few V-Bucks, which is always welcome.

MEPHISTO ARRIVES FROM THE UNDERWORLD
Although the ABSOLUTE DOOM Battle Pass is winding down, the infamous Marvel demon Mephisto is bringing his reign of the underworld to Fortnitemares. The comic book villain is ready to unleash his vengeance on the horror-themed map and is getting some cool demonic weapons. Once again, Fortnite has split the components to make the set more affordable. If you wish to buy the whole set, the bundle will save you a few V-Bucks, which is always welcome.

MORE RELEASES INCOMING
The new collaboration characters are now available in the item shop, but there’s more to come. The Fortnitemares trailer revealed that additional characters will join throughout the season. The first one to appear will be Johnny Depp’s Edward Scissorhands, a beloved character from Tim Burton’s iconic movie. He is expected to debut in the item shop this Wednesday.
Epic Games has not yet confirmed the set’s release date or expected price range. However, the set has already been leaked, revealing some cool accessories. It will feature a hedge-trimming emote, a trimmed T-Rex hedge back bling, a custom guitar, and his iconic Scissorhands pickaxe. Check out the image below.
After the debut of Edward Scissorhands, the following characters to join the collaboration will be the infamous Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, along with Disney’s most iconic villains like Maleficent, Captain Hook, and Cruella de Vil. Just in time for the release of Venom: The Last Dance, two new female symbiotes will bring the chaos to the map. These characters will be unlocked via the “Symbioye Cup” or the item shop on October 24th.
RELEASE
Fortunately, these latest releases are just the beginning of many more throughout the year. Thankfully, it’s not just limited to Fortnitemares. Disney has recently made significant investments in Fortnite, expanding the roster of characters on the map. Disney fans are certainly in for a treat. At this year’s D23 Expo, Disney announced many new characters already available in the game. Characters from The Incredibles and the Pirates of the Caribbean franchises have recently debuted, and a plethora of Star Wars and Marvel characters have also joined the lineup.
New original characters will also be added, making the upcoming months genuinely thrilling. And now, with the introduction of cars from Fortnite x Fast & Furious, we can anticipate Dom’s Dodge Charger as the next significant addition. Suppose this is any indication of what’s to come. In that case, fans can eagerly await the arrival of more Rocket League collaboration cars to their Fortnite lineup very soon – an exciting prospect.
THE FUTURE
The future looks promising for a productive partnership between Epic Games and Disney, and long may it continue. But who will join Edward Scissorhands and Leatherface on the map next? Will more Spider-Man adversaries arrive to stir up trouble? Will additional X-Men come to unleash their mutant power? Are more Star Wars characters incoming? Will Eddie Brock finally make a comeback to the item shop?
