THE UK TOP TEN BEST-SELLERS ON HOME ENTERTAINMENT

This week, we have two re-entries into the chart placings. To make way for these returning titles, it is a sad farewell to Alien: Romulus and Longlegs. But what are these returnees to the chart, and where have they re-entered the placings? Time to take another trip into the Multiverse as we find out.

DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE CONTINUE TO RULE THE CHART!

Deadpool & Wolverine flies into its fifth week at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart, as last week’s Halloween celebrations send lots of spooky favourites into the Top 40. With exactly 999 sales between the Top 2, it’s been a close race this week. (Read our review here.)

HALLOWEEN TITLES OCCUPY THE TOP 40!

In fact, more than half of this week’s Top 40 is filled with Halloween titles; from horror films like Late Night with the Devil (17), The Conjuring (23), It (30) and The Shining (34), to more family-friendly choices like Monster House (26), The Corpse Bride (29) and Roald Dahl’s The Witches (39).

DO YOU WANT TO DANCE WITH THE DEVIL IN THE PALE MOONLIGHT?

And that is this week’s best-selling titles. After what can only be described as a disastrous time at the box office, the sequel Joker: Folie à Deux is now available on PVOD. The film, once again starring Joaquin Phoenix in his Oscar-winning role is a musical rather than a straight-up drama as the original. Also featuring Lady Gaga as Harleen ‘Lee’ Quinzel, the film hasn’t reached the critical and box office success as the first film received. (Read our review here.) If you feel like watching the film while it is still in cinemas, rent it for £15.99 or buy it early for £19.99 from your preferred retailer now.
