The team behind the new documentary, My Husband, The Cyborg, are excited to share that it will be coming to digital platforms this Valentine’s Day, 14th February 2025. After her husband, Scott Cohen unexpectedly decided to become a cyborg, Director Susanna Cappellaro picked up her camera and started documenting. My Husband, The Cyborg invites viewers to take a front-row seat on an unprecedented journey with the ultimate 21st Century couple.
PREMISE
Follow as a marriage undergoes the ultimate test—neither infidelity nor a faded flame, but the allure of technology. With incredible intimacy, filmmaker Susanna Cappellaro documents her husband Scott’s decision to have an extrasensory device implanted into his body in order to increase his awareness of the world around him.
As Scott goes further down this path, he can’t understand his wife’s resistance. And while Cappellaro documents herself struggling to understand their changing life, what might have been science fiction becomes all the more human.
THE NORTH SENSE
Music from The Raveonettes‘ Sune Rose Wagner backs Scott’s cyborg transformation throughout the documentary. Watch as he installs the first ‘North Sense’ in his chest. A device that allows him to sense the earth’s electromagnetic field.
‘The ‘North Sense’, connected to Scott’s body via two anchors, vibrates every time he faces North. Scott believes this gives him a deeper connection with the universe. Adding a layer to his human experience, and even changes the way he forms memories. And for Scott, the North Sense is only the beginning. But at what cost?
